Best Budget Friendly Foundations

Buying a foundation doesn’t need to break the bank. Yep, you can still get flawless looking skin that makes you look like you’ve stepped out of a glossy fashion mag even on a budget. Let’s face it, if we can bag a bargain everyday foundation then why pay triple the price?

Budget foundations are often associated with limited shade ranges and patchy application, but this misconception is a thing of the past. Drugstore brands have stepped it up a notch or three and are putting on a pretty good fight against their luxury rivals.

L’Oreal Infallible Foundation

Anyone looking for a full coverage, lightweight foundation here’s your answer. This foundation claims to be 32 hours of fresh wear. I have to admit I’ve never worn this foundation for that long (maybe one day I’ll put it to the test) but it certainly lasts wonderfully for the 12 hours I have worn it before.

It’s added Vitamin C makes the formula super hydrating on the skin, so my fellow dry skin friends you need to try this foundation, you won’t be disappointed, and your bank balance won’t be too dented.

If your skin is more on the combination or oily side, then the good news is Loreal haven’t left you out with their Infallible collection offering. There is also a powder formula of the Loreal Infallible foundation which has had rave reviews from those who have oily skin types.

Elf Flawless Finish Foundation

This oil-free formula is one of the best budget friendly foundations out there for those looking for a lightweight formula to blur imperfections and even-out your skin tone. The coverage for this foundation is on the light to medium side, giving a natural finish to airbrush the skin. However, if you’re wanting a little more coverage you may need to layer up or look to a concealer (give the camo concealer by Elf a go!) to really cover any blemishes.

It’s described as a semi-matte finish which makes it ideal for those who have combination skin. This foundation won’t have you looking oily but will also not have any dry skin patches screaming out for moisture.

L’Oreal True Match Foundation

The second Loreal to make it to the best budget friendly foundations list, well done Loreal. I’ve been using Loreal True Match for years and there’s a reason I keep coming back – it’s simply fabulous. When I wear this foundation, I know it will never let me down, with a beautifully hydrating formula the Loreal True Match foundation sits flawlessly on the skin. It blends like butter blurring the skin and giving light to medium coverage that evens out imperfections.

Another massive plus for the True Match foundation is the shade range. It’s pretty extensive and includes so many different shades that finding a colour to match shouldn’t be too difficult for the majority of people.

NYX Born to Glow Foundation

If you love a glowing foundation finish, then the NYX Born to Glow foundation will be right up your street. It doesn’t give an oily looking glow but instead gives a natural radiance that makes your skin look healthy and bright. It’s medium, buildable coverage is fantastic for anyone looking for a little more coverage while still having a natural looking makeup base.

Those oily skins kings and queens may not find a Born to Glow foundation to match, but I got you, the NYX Can’t Stop Won’t Stop is an equally fabulous foundation and much more targeted at those looking for a more matte finish to combat shine.
