The Best Liquid Blush Products

There’s a very good reason makeup artists and beauty gurus can’t get enough of liquid blushes and that’s because the best products can transform a flat makeup base into a glowing and youthful one without the ‘cake’ feeling a powder blush can sometimes give.

Liquid blushes work for everyone and can be toned up or down depending on how rosy you like your cheeks to look. Powder makeup seems to have been replaced by the influx of brilliant new cream and liquid formulas and I’m absolutely here for it.

We are even seeing the introduction of pink blushes being applied under the eyes to brighten and blend the blush into your blush seamlessly. It really is the year of blush and if you want to join in on the hype (which you should!) here are the best liquid blush products to give you that youthful skin look and perfectly pretty flushed cheeks.

Made By Mitchell Blursh

I’m slightly in love with the Made By Mitchell Blursh and not just because I’ve been brain washed by the thousands (if not millions) of videos I’ve seen on TikTok raving about them being incredible, but because I’ve tried it and they are in fact .. incredible!

The pigment, the colour range, the formula – astonishing, not to mention how it blurs away any texture or pores flawlessly. Everything about these Made By Mitchell Blurshes are *chef’s kiss* and a definite must try!

Their multipurpose formula means they are safe to use on the face, lips, or eyes, giving you even more ways to wear this than just on your cheeks. £15 for a lipstick, blush and eyeshadow?! That’s a steal if ever I heard one.

My favourite shade is Sweet Cheeks which is perfect for those who love pink pop of colour to give a youthful glow to the cheeks. However, this is a BRIGHT blush shade and not for the faint hearted. If you want a more subtle pop of colour make sure to only use a tiny amount of product.

If you have oily skin then these are also a fantastic option as they dry down to a satin powder matte finish, which means they won’t add any extra oil to your complexion or budge throughout the day.

Makeup Revolution Super Dewy Liquid Blush

This hybrid liquid-cream formula blush from revolution is not something to be slept on and it’s one I haven’t seen beauty enthusiast rave about enough – so here I am, introducing you to an absolute steal! This liquid blush comes in six different shades in an assortment of pinks and rouges for you to choose the best match for your skin tone.

I bought this blush on a whim, I was in need of a new liquid blush and wanted something cheap and cheerful to try, retailing at only £5 I wasn’t expecting much but I was blown away by the pigment of this product. Begin with a light hand and little dab as a little definitely goes a long way and see your cheeks instantly transformed to the perfect level of flushed.

The Beauty Crop Glow Milk Liquid Blush

All I can say is that I’m OBSESSED with the pigment of the liquid blushes from The Beauty Crop and you will be too if you’re into a bright pop of colour to brighten up the cheeks. They’re also a great affordable alternative and come in some brilliantly bright colours for those that love a bright pop of colour on their cheeks.

If you love a glowing makeup base, then these blushes will be your new obsession. Not only do they give a kiss of colour to the cheeks, but they also create a glossy makeup base and soft-focus glow that looks beautiful on the skin.

Charlotte Tilbury Beauty Light Wand

Okay, this wouldn’t be a ‘The Best’ list without an appearance from the Queen of makeup formulas, Charlotte Tilbury herself. You guessed it, the Charlotte Tilbury Bright Light Wand in Peachgasm is the perfect blush for when you want a subtle youthful shine to the cheeks. This blush seems to be in and out of stock at a super speedy rate so if you want it and see it in stock be quick and get it before it’s too late.

It melts into the skin flawlessly to create that subtle glow from withing we’re all loving right now. However, in comparison to many of the other blushes on this list is certainly more natural looking so, if you prefer a natural look then you’ll love this one.

NARS Liquid Blush

Everyone has heard of NARS Orgasm blush, it’s been a classic in makeup bags for years, and the liquid formula of this blush is the perfect shade of peachy pink. The formula has a subtle flecks of gold to create the perfect shimmer to your cheeks.

Again, this is a super pigmented product, one pump is all you need for a natural looking finish.

How To Pick The Perfect Liquid Blush

As a makeup enthusiast, one of the biggest trends to emerge in recent years has been the popularity of liquid blush. This type of blush product has become increasingly popular due to its ease of application, versatility, and natural-looking finish. But with so many options on the market, it can be challenging to determine which liquid blush products are the best for your individual needs. To make it a little easier, here is a comprehensive guide on how to pick the best liquid blush products.

Consider Your Skin Type

When it comes to selecting the best liquid blush products, it is essential to consider your skin type. Different liquid blushes work better for different skin types. For example, if you have oily skin, you may want to opt for a liquid blush that is oil-free, so as not to add to the oil already present on your skin. Alternatively, if you have dry skin, you may want to choose a liquid blush with hydrating properties to add moisture to your skin.

One of the best options for those with oily skin is the Nars Liquid Blush. It is oil-free and lightweight, making it ideal for oily skin types. It comes in a variety of shades, so you can choose the one that suits your skin tone best.

If you have dry skin, a great option is the Benefit Cosmetics Benetint Cheek and Lip Stain. This liquid blush has a hydrating formula that adds a subtle pop of colour to your cheeks. It can also be used as a lip stain, making it a versatile product that you can use on the go.

Choose a Shade That Complements Your Skin Tone

One of the most critical factors when selecting the best liquid blush products is to choose a shade that complements your skin tone. When selecting a shade, keep in mind that the blush should look natural on your skin. If the shade is too bright or too dark, it can look artificial and overpowering. Additionally, your skin tone may change throughout the year, so it is important to choose a shade that will work all year round.

For fair skin, a light pink shade like the Glossier Cloud Paint in Puff works well. This liquid blush has a creamy texture that blends seamlessly into the skin, leaving a natural-looking flush of colour.

If you have medium skin, a peachy shade like the Stila Convertible Colour in Gerbera is an excellent choice. This liquid blush can be applied with fingers or a brush, and it blends easily into the skin, providing a natural-looking flush.

For darker skin tones, a deep pink or berry shade like the Fenty Beauty Cheeks Out Freestyle Cream Blush in Daquiri Dip is ideal. This liquid blush has a buildable formula that can be used to create a subtle or bold look, depending on your preference.

Check the Ingredients List

When selecting liquid blush products, it is essential to check the ingredients list to ensure that the product does not contain any harmful ingredients that can cause irritation or allergies. Additionally, if you have sensitive skin, it is crucial to choose a liquid blush with hypoallergenic ingredients.

One of the best options for those with sensitive skin is the Milk Makeup Lip + Cheek. It is a vegan product that is free from parabens, sulphates, and other harmful ingredients. It has a hydrating formula that provides a natural-looking flush of colour.

Consider the Application Method

Liquid blush products can be applied in a variety of ways typically using three main application methods – with a brush, sponge or even with your finger. My recommendation for the most seamless liquid blush application is to use your finger to apply and beauty sponge to finish.

Begin with a pea sized amount of product and use your finger to tap the product onto the apples of your cheeks and bring upwards towards your temples to lift your face.

Using your finger, apply the product onto the skin and tap into the mentioned areas of the cheeks. Using your finger will warm up the products and help it to blend into the skin more seamlessly. If you are looking for a brighter pop of blush simply build up the product to the desired colour.

Finish off by patting a damp beauty blender over the top to ensure the blusher has blended into the skin. Just like that, you have pretty flushed cheeks with no streaks!
