Best Full Coverage Concealers

Are you in search of the best full coverage concealers on the market? Well, you’re in the right place. Whether you’re looking for a concealer to ‘magic away’ dark circles and brighten your under eye or a concealer to banish blemishes and imperfections – I’ve got you.

After considering product formulas, prices and all-round ability I’ve chosen five of my personal favourite concealers for a full coverage finish.

When applying concealer or any base makeup product I always suggest applying moisturiser to your skin to avoid any product adhering to dry patches on your skin. I usually set my concealer with powder to really lock in that full coverage and keep it lasting all day.

Choosing the right full coverage concealer

For a concealer I always aim for the most coverage possible. The job of a concealer is to mask any marks or imperfections your foundation may not have covered. A full coverage concealer is a great option for those who only want coverage in certain areas or added coverage to a light to medium coverage concealer.

It’s important to recognise what you want your concealer to do. Are you looking for a concealer to brighten and highlight? Or cover and conceal?

For brightening the under eye and highlighting the high points of your face you need to be choosing a colour one to two shades lighter than your skin tone. Using a concealer to highlight areas can bring more depth to the face and bring out your features.

If you’re looking for a full coverage concealer for spot concealing you need to be using a shade to match your skin tone. This will flatten the appearance of blemishes and cover any redness without drawing attention to the problemed area.

So which is the best concealer for you? Let me guide you through five of my all time favourite full coverage concealers for a few top quality options!

Charlotte Tilbury Magic Away Concealer

Charlotte Tilbury Magic Away Concealer

My top recommendation for dark circle covering and eye brightening has to be the Magic Away Concealer by Charlotte Tilbury.

Is there a product Charlotte Tilbury doesn’t produce flawlessly? I don’t think so. The Magic Away concealer creates an airbrushed finish that brightens your under eyes and banishes stubborn dark circles. Making you look fresh and awake whether you feel it or not!

The buildable, waterproof formula feels super light weight on the skin and is so easy to work with. Its non drying and melts into the skin like butter, brightening the under eyes perfectly with zero creasing. After wearing all day the formula still felt comfortable on my skin with no signs of separating or excessive creasing.

Two Faced Born This Way Super Coverage Concealer

Too Faced Born This Way Concealer

If you’re needing to cover dark circles or mask any skin imperfections the Too Faced Born This Way concealer is the option for you! This concealer is my favourite all rounder.

This hybrid concealer-foundation comes in beautiful packaging to match it’s beautiful concealing ability. Its easily blendable formula sits wonderfully on the skin without the worry of settling into any fine lines. Whether you want medium or full coverage the Born This Way concealer will deliver.

Its full coverage, hydrating formula makes this is a great option for both spot concealing and under eye brightening even on those who have dry skin. Apply to the problem area, set down with your favourite translucent powder and have the coverage you need for 8 plus hours!

Makeup Revolution Conceal and Define

My top affordable pick for covering imperfections and blemishes. The Makeup Revolution Conceal and Define is a concealer I continue to purchase knowing it won’t let me down when a blemish arrives.

I would recommend using this concealer mostly for spot concealing. If your under eye is prone to creasing this thick formula may be harder to work with as its super quick drying. In terms of coverage though, this a great option with an appealing price tag. It’s super pigmented with a little product going a long way.

An impressive drugstore concealer that performs superbly if you’re looking for a full coverage option to wear day-to-day here’s your product. I would recommend this to those who have a normal to oily skin type as it’s fast drying formula may be a little too matte for those with dry skin.

As a blemish banishing, affordable full coverage concealer I can’t fault this product!

Elf 16hrs Camo Concealer

An incredible, budget friendly concealer that’s is super pigmented with the ability to mask any dark circle or imperfection. The tiniest amount of product (and I mean the tiniest!) is needed for an impressive coverage. Do not over do it with this one as little goes a long way!

This is one of my favourite for covering up those stubborn red blemishes that never seems to disappear. A great product for keeping in your bag for whenever you may need a little extra coverage.

Nyx Can’t Stop Won’t Stop Contour Concealer

This full coverage concealer comes in 24 different shade options for an inclusive colour range. With a large range of shades makes this product an easy one for many to enjoy. Use as a concealer or even a liquid contour product.

It’s formula is a super full coverage consistency that dries matte. If you’re skin is on the normal to oily side this would be a great option for you.

I love this concealer for banishing dark circles and covering any redness. It’s coverage is full without being too cakey and I find it sits nicely on the skin without being too heavy like other full coverage concealers sometimes are.
